BS EN ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System


In 2002 we introduced BS EN ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS), which is the International standard for Quality Management Systems. It provides us with a set of principles that ensure a common sense approach to the management of our business activities to consistently achieve customer satisfaction and we are regularly audited to ensure strict compliance with these standards.

In 2007 we achieved certification to BS EN ISO 14001. This is an international management standard and demonstrates our business policy commitment to meet its legal and regulatory requirements. It also takes account of any geographical, cultural and social conditions affecting the wider community and we are regularly audited to ensure strict compliance with these standards and continuous environmental improvement.

OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OH&S) 


In 2007 we achieved certification to OHSAS 18001 as part of our risk management strategy to meet and address increasingly stringent legislation. The management system is designed to demonstrate achievement of our performance in controlling our OH&S risks, consistent with our policy, procedures and objectives. We are regularly audited to ensure strict compliance with these standards.

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) 


In 2009 we achieved certification with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). This chain of custody certification represents the unbroken path which products take from the forest to the consumer, including all stages of manufacturing, transportation and distribution. It provides evidence that certified products originate from well-managed forests and we are regularly audited to ensure strict compliance with these standards.

Furniture Industry Sustainability Programme (FISP)


In 2008 we became members of FISP. This membership demonstrates that we are taking our environmental and corporate social responsibility obligations seriously. FISP is backed by the entire furniture industry and is the mark of sustainable excellence.

Investor in People


We achieved our accreditation with Investors in people in 2003. Investor in People is a business improvement tool designed to assist us in developing our performance through our people. It provides tailored assessments designed to support our business in planning, implementing and evaluating effective business strategy whilst developing and nurturing the knowledge and skills of our employees.

In 2004 we achieved the FIRA Gold Award for our Satellite Gold range. FIRA Gold is the ultimate mark of product excellence within the furniture industry. This award provides a solid reassurance that our range meets all necessary standards.
